I had first met Min early on in my high school academic career. I was lacking a lot in math, dealing with both accuracy and precision with math problems. It wasn’t long after being under Min’s excellence that I was able to progress and finally succeed in math. I can honestly say that he is extremely knowledgeable in all spectrums of academics. In math, he has developed his own methods of teachings that provide his students to try the method that suits their style and best cooperates with their comprehension. He constantly emphasized the importance of accuracy and precision, which was a skill that I was able to carry over to other various subjects in my academic career (from high school and throughout college). Because I was fortunate to be under Min early on, he helped me to set a strong foundation of tips and skills, which carried throughout my high school and early college career. I would say Min’s strong characteristic is that he truly has compassion on the students that struggle in school and his patience is astonishing. When I wanted to quit, he persisted and encouraged me to press forward. He ensures his students that he will make their time worthwhile, and establishes trustworthy relationships to make his students feel comfortable to talk to him about their struggles in other subjects. Min was with me throughout my SAT prep and gave me the confidence I needed to pursue a higher education and set my goals much higher than they were. As mentioned before, he is exceedingly knowledgeable in all the necessary requirements to make a smooth transition from high school to college for both students and their parents. Min has definitely made an impact on my life academically, but more importantly, established a relationship with me, in which I feel comfortable enough to go to him for advice. I am now a third year at UCLA, studying English, with postgraduate plans for Law School @ UCLA or MBA at UCLA Anderson. I hope someday that I will be able to give Min something in return for his compassion and his passion in helping me succeed in my life.
